Thirty Day Challenge — Building a Business from Scratch and Earning $1 in 30 Days

Thirty Day ChallengeI have a new announcement for you. No, not that one. I know you usually read an announcement about putting a blog on hiatus after the lack of updates for some time, but not for this one. This is my baby…

On the upcoming 30 days, I am going to focus on blogging about the Thirty Day Challenge 2008. If you want to join the challenge with me, you still have time, although it is going to be started in about two days…

Fast fact: The official browser for TDC 2008 is Flock v1.2.x. The features within Flock has increased my productivity and save my time on a daily basis.

While I don’t know for sure the topic and scenario for this year’s challenge yet, it is certainly related to social media and blogging. Currently participants are getting used to Twitter, StumbleUpon, YouTube, Google Reader and FriendFeed.

I believe as a blogger, you are going to learn a lot about building a blogging business in this year’s Thirty Day Challenge (TDC or 30DC).

TDC 2008 is about Using Social Media

Social media is all the rage nowadays. You can use it to promote your blog as well as any business, whether it is a brick-and-mortar or online business. If you have been browsing around for a while, you should notice that social media is an important part of blog promotion.

For example, just last month, I got more than 700 visitors to a particular blog post overnight, from a few thumbs up from StumbleUpon users.

This is an opportunity to learn the cutting edge of building a business with social media. I will particularly focus my coverage to blogging. That’s why you’re all here.

If you participate in the challenge, let me know. Otherwise, just enjoy while you see me build an online business from scratch, from A-Z. You can apply the same things to your own business or start anew.

The Meaning of $1

Please don’t underestimate the value of $1. It is not in the amount, but more on the lessons within. No doubt, anyone could earn $1 easily, but that is not the goal of this challenge.

One dollar is the difference between an amateur or hobbyist and professional blogger. Once you’ve made your first dollar, you know the system works. All you have to do is double your earnings every time.

With the leverage you’ve built over time, you don’t have to work twice as hard to earn the second and next dollars. The majority of the energy is wasted when launching a rocket, and that applies to business building as well.

What 30 Day Challenge tries to show is a system to build and grow a business. Best of all, the entire lessons are available for free.

On the worst scenario, you’ll learn about online business for free, and waste 30 days of your time. On the other end is a solid foundation to prepare for your online business. Many people couldn’t do it in 30 days. In fact, I don’t know if I’m going to make it, but it doesn’t matter all. Even if I finish it in 120 days, I still have the strategies to use in the future.

If you desperately want a change in your life, work at the comfort of your own home, get involved in the topic you love and make a living at the same time, this will be life changing. I mean, seriously. You will never hear me hype things up. If you are a reader of my blog or a subscribe to my 52-week e-course, you know that to be true.

Stay tuned for my updates.

Return to Thirty Day Challenge.

Note: Regular articles and the SEO for blogs article series will continue in September 2008.
